Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction
The Bytewise IT Customer Referral Programme (“the Programme”) rewards existing customers who introduce new businesses to BytewiseIT Ltd. (“Bytewise IT”, “we”, “us”, “our”). Participation in the Programme constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

2. Eligibility

  • The Programme is open to existing Bytewise IT customers and approved partners aged 18 or over.
  • Referrals must relate to UK‑based businesses.
  • Employees of Bytewise IT and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.

3. How to Refer a Customer

  • To refer a customer, simply email referral@bytewiseit.co.uk with:
    • The name of the business being referred
    • A contact name and contact details
    • Confirmation that permission has been obtained to share those details
  • Only one voucher will be issued for each referral. The first person to notify Bytewise IT of a referral will be deemed the valid referrer.

4. What Qualifies as a Valid Referral?
A referral will be considered valid where:

  • The referred business is not an existing Bytewise IT customer and has not been in active discussions with Bytewise IT within the previous 12 months.
  • The referral is made directly by the referrer via email to referral@bytewiseit.co.uk.
  • The referred business becomes a new customer of Bytewise IT by taking out either an IT Support agreement or cloud telecoms subscription.

Bytewise IT reserves the right to determine whether a referral meets these criteria.

5. Referral Reward

  • The referral reward is one £50 Amazon voucher per successful referral.
  • Only one voucher will be issued per referred business.
  • Where multiple people refer the same business, the voucher will be awarded to the first person who notified Bytewise IT using the designated email address.

6. Reward Issuing

  • The reward becomes payable once the referred customer becomes live and is paying for Bytewise IT services.
  • The £50 Amazon voucher will normally be issued within 7 days of the above qualifying period being met.
  • Vouchers are non‑transferable, non‑refundable, and no cash alternatives are available.

7. Fair Use

  • The Programme is intended for genuine business introductions only.
  • Referrals generated through bulk emailing, spam, paid advertising, or misleading practices will not qualify.
  • Bytewise IT reserves the right to refuse or withdraw a referral reward where misuse is suspected.

8. No Guarantee of Sale

  • Bytewise IT operates on an advice‑first basis and will only engage with referred businesses where our services are appropriate.
  • There is no guarantee that a referral will result in a sale or reward.

9. Data Protection

  • Referrers must obtain consent from the referred business before sharing any contact details.
  • All information will be handled in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy.
  • Bytewise IT will not share confidential information about the referred customer with the referrer or any 3rd party.

10. Programme Changes

  • Bytewise IT reserves the right to amend, suspend, or withdraw the Programme at any time without prior notice.
  • Referrals made prior to any change will be honoured under the Terms & Conditions in force at the time of referral.

11. Tax Liability

  • Referrers are responsible for declaring any referral rewards to HMRC where applicable.
  • Bytewise IT accepts no liability for tax obligations arising from participation in the Programme.

12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
