We are seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to lead our IT support helpdesk.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting a wide range of services for small to medium-sized businesses, both remotely and onsite. The role can be based out of either our Gateshead or Carlisle offices.
Must be a confident individual, capable of working alone and as part of a team and should be able to troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of IT related issues.

Key Responsibilities:
Support Desk/Remote Support – Resolving or escalating support tickets in a timely manner
Install and support clients PC’s, servers, firewalls and networks, ensuring they are up-to-date with bug fixes and security updates.
Support and manage Microsoft 365 and other cloud services

Essential Skills:
Minimum of 2 years experience in a 2nd-line IT support role (or similar)
Proficient in Microsoft Operating System installation and support (Windows 10+, Windows Server 2016+)
Experience with Hyper-V virtualisation
Good knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy Management
Good understanding of Microsoft 365 administration and configuration
Competent in Windows, iOS, and Android deployment and management
Strong troubleshooting skills
Working knowledge of network infrastructure management, including routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP

Desired Skills:
Understanding of the NCSC Cyber Essentials scheme
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Cloud Services
Familiarity of IP cloud telephony services

Non-Technical Skills:
Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers and stakeholders at all levels
Problem-solving mindset
Organised, focused, and accurate
Well-presented with strong written and verbal English skills
Full UK valid driver’s license

Annual Salary: £27k-£35k depending on previous experience
